"I" of the Consumer Week in Review

I was so caught up yesterday I forgot to wish you all a happy Groundhog Day! January is already over and it’s time to look back on the month that was and decide if your marketing plan was executed. You most likely did not accomplish everything you wanted to accomplish, but now is the time to evaluate whether you got off to a good start. Focus on the priorities and big picture items and avoid getting dragged down by the daily issues.

If you spent the last week avoiding your shadow, you may have missed these posts:

  1. 5 Reasons Your Last Marketing Test Failed
  2. Submit Your Marketing Questions to Me
  3. How to Get on Your Competitor’s Nerves
  4. Sad State of Affairs (DCCC FAIL)

Happy Sunday!

Bonus - 3 Ways to Boost Your Marketing Knowledge:

"I" of the Consumer Week in Review

They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. While that might hold true, it’s usually not what you want to hear when someone copies your marketing. I plan on doing a full post on this in the near future, but for those of you who have seen bits and pieces of your marketing plan ripped off by competitors, I know exactly how you must feel. And it does not feel good.

If you spent a part of this last week complaining, you may have missed these fantastic posts:

  1. Five Reasons You Need to Generate News
  2. Fundamentals of Email Marketing (eBook)
  3. How to Save Money on Your Next Ad Buy
  4. The Difference Between Investors and Customers

Happy Sunday!

Marketing can be broken down into many different specific areas, and one such area that I’ve stumbled into more lately is direct mail. For those of you involved in direct mail, or those that think direct mail might be something worth adding to their existing plans or skill set, I recommend checking out Alan Rosenspan & Associates. Alan is a direct marketing guru and his free newsletter is a terrific resource for marketers. Learn more and signup here.
