New Series – Break the Rules

If you read the books, follow the blogs, and listen to the experts in the marketing world, you will invariably come across a large number of “rules”. These are the best practices that we preach to newcomers and non-marketers to help them achieve the results they’re looking for.

But in marketing, as in many other areas, rules are meant to be broken. Some of these best practices only apply to certain industries, or only work for certain companies.

And so, starting next Monday, we’ll be bringing you a new weekly blog series devoted to one thing – Breaking the Rules. Each week we will introduce one of these so-called rules, and then tell you why it might be a good idea for you and your company to break it.

So if you’re a rebel, a trouble-maker, and a rule-breaker, we’ll give you something to sink your teeth into each and every Monday morning for the foreseeable future. Hope you enjoy!

New Blog Series: If You Only Do One Thing

Frequent readers will know by now that Mondays are reserved for weekly blog series. And today, I’m happy to announce the beginning of a brand new weekly series!

I hear from readers all the time and one common theme is that there is so much great information out there as relates to marketing, but who has the time. You are busy. You have a lot of responsibilities. Some of you are full-time marketers, but others run small businesses and don’t put marketing first.

And that’s okay. But there are a few things that everyone should be doing or thinking about. And so the question that comes up repeatedly is, “well if there was one thing I should be doing, what is it?”

And so, the title of the series is “If You Only Do One Thing”. It’s aimed at those people whose time is limited (all of us, likely) and who are looking for the simple things that they should be doing in order to get their marketing house in order.

Next week, and each Monday that follows, I’ll introduce a new “one thing” and explain why it’s important. Hopefully you will learn some simple marketing tips and tricks that you can apply to your business.

So stay tuned, and thanks for reading!

New Blog Series: What to Test

As is our tradition here at Zach Heller Marketing, next Monday we will be launching a new weekly blog series. This next series will focus on a topic that is near and dear to my heart, testing. While it may not sound like a very exciting topic, it is essential to success in today’s digital landscape. The more we can test, the more success we will have.

The series will work like this. Each week I’ll deliver an idea of something you should test. I will tell you why you should test it and what it could do for your business. Then I will tell you how to test it, including what results you should track in order to determine whether or not you have a winning test.

Remember, a test is helpful even if you don’t beat the control version. Because you learn something about your business.

So stay tuned for week 1 of our “What to Test” blog series coming next Monday!
