Guy Kawasaki is the master evangelist. His past as an original Apple employee and evangelist speaks for itself. And his most recent book, Enchantment: The Art of Changing Hearts, Minds, and Actions, is a brilliantly simple how-to for anyone who has an idea that they'd like to spread.
Most likely written originally for marketers and business owners, the easy to follow, step-by-step process reads more like a how-to/self-help book than a business book.
With chapter titles like, "How to Achieve Trustworthiness" and "How to Overcome Resistance", the book walks you through the things you need to do in order to share and spread your idea.
I recommend this book to everyone, regardless of you life's path, as I think you'll be able to take something away from this book that can help you.
One of my favorite sections of the book dealt with the notion of "making it easy for people to do what you want them to do". Guy describes a party he hosted for his son's hockey team and their parents. He left out 2 trash cans, one for recycling and one for garbage. Instead of writing out what the cans were for, he applied a top to one with a small round hole big enough for cans and bottles cut out of it. Success!
Guy Kawasaki's successes go far beyond recycling at a back yard barbeque, and yours can too. If you want a checklist and a guide to get there, try this book.
