This week’s fix = Phone Number
One of the simplest things to do to improve your marketing is answer people’s questions. The easiest way to do that is to give them a way to reach you, and respond when they do. Hence this week’s suggestion – add a phone number to your website.
Too often contact information for companies gets hidden or ignored altogether when a website is designed and launched. Then, when the visitors inevitably come and start looking around, they get lost or confused or have questions they want answers to. And so they look for a way to get in touch.
What happens when they can’t find that information? What you do in that situation? If you’re being honest with yourself, you’d leave. You’d leave the site and probably not do business with that company now or in the future.
That’s a missed opportunity for a business that could be solved by simply adding a phone number and answering the phone when someone calls.
To capture more of your visitors and have a chance at turning them into paying customers, add a phone number clearly and prominently to every page of your website.
