The following is part one of our weekly series on Top Resources for Marketers.
Learning is a lifelong process. Without learning and development, we flounder. Technology passes us by. Potential lies undiscovered and dormant. Old skills stagnate and new ones fail ever to form.
With that in mind, today’s resource is: Occam’s Razor
Occam’s Razor is the blog run by Avinash Kaushik. Avinash is the author of two bestselling books about analytics, Digital Marketnig Evangelist for Google, and co-founder an online marketing education company called Market Motive.
He is a prominent writer and speaker on all things marketing and his blog is filled with vital, insightful information on topics ranging from data optimization and analysis, measuring marketing effectiveness and ROI, and successful presentation and advocacy.
All of the posts at Occam’s Razor are filled to the brim with great content. They are longer reads, but well worth the time it takes to absorb the information.
Best of all, Avinash added an email newsletter that adds valuable backstories to many of his posts and frequently contains real-life examples of the practices he preaches for and against in the blog.
For the casual marketer who wants to learn how to work with data, how to measure marketing success, and how to prove to the higher ups what is working and why, Occam’s Razor is a must-read.
