When you make something for “insiders”, you increase demand. When your product is “cool”, more people will want it. They will equate it with status. And to not have it will mean being left out of something. Luxury fashion brands know this. Steve Jobs knew this. It takes expert branding, working with influencers and thought-leaders, and selecting customers in the early stages of a product launch. Obviously not every product can be cool. Can yours?
