There is a common feeling that if you build it, they will come.
If you start a business, the customers will find out. They will find you because your products are better than anything else on the market today. They will find you because your prices are lower than any of your competitors’.
It doesn’t matter how they find you, because you know they will. How can a company so great, offering real solutions to people’s problem, go undiscovered?
With that mindset, who needs marketing. Right?
Unfortunately that’s not the world we live in. We live in a world where hundreds of companies fail every day because they had trouble bringing in customers or getting people to pay for their goods. And the dirty truth is, it’s not always the best companies or the best products that win out in the marketplace.
And that’s all thanks to marketing.
If your company is great at marketing, it’s great at getting people talking about you, it’s great at getting people in the door and to your website, it’s great at getting people to buy your products. Great marketing turns a great company into a successful one.
Just because you built it, doesn’t mean they’ll come. Now you have to tell them about it. That’s marketing.
