When you serve on the Grand Jury in the county of New York, you are in the 5% of people that were picked for Grand Jury instead of Trial Jury. That’s what I learned earlier this week, as I flipped through my brand new Grand Jury handbook. What an honor, I thought sarcastically. The luck of the draw can help you or hurt you. The key is to embrace those things in your life that are outside your control. There is nothing you can do to change them, so complaining or worrying about them is just a waste of time.
