Memorial Day weekend traditionally marks the beginning of summer. And since we have spent part of last week, and will spend some of this coming week, discussing compensation on this blog, summer means one thing to me. Consider this an opportunity to boost worker morale without paying them. Can you afford to give them time off? Can you afford to shut down on Fridays? Can you organize one or more company outings to get people out of the office and bonding in a way they otherwise wouldn’t? Summer is the time to be giving to your employees. Think about it.
