St. Patrick’s Day is Monday and we’re likely to learn whether or not we break the record for amount of Guinness consumed. What a wonderful opportunity for a brand to associate itself with a day on the calendar. Other companies likely look at Guinness and get jealous at how lucky they are to have that kind of holiday tie-in. But what about the other 364 days of the year? Does one day of excess make up for the fact that they are not a very popular beer (comparatively) the rest of the year?
