“I” of the Consumer Week in Review

One big news story that caught my eye this week was the project Facebook is leading to expand internet access to most of the developing world. While on the face of it, this might look like a grand gesture on the part of Facebook and other internet companies, there is a catch. The investment will be large, but the payoff could be far larger. More internet users means more Facebook users, and in turn, more Facebook users means more ad dollars. Great plan!
