“I” of the Consumer Week in Review


October is breast cancer awareness month. The marketing people behind breast cancer research funding have done an incredible job. But why don’t other, deadlier types of cancers get the same awareness? Does it make sense that we seem to favor giving money to fund research of a cancer that is one of the easier to detect and treat? Is it because other cancers are too challenging for us? I know just asking those questions is taboo, but they need to be asked.
