The Hunger Games broke a record last weekend for the best opening of any movie, ever! There’s something to be said about that. A couple of years ago, the movie industry was complaining about declining revenues, chalking most of it up to piracy. Yet in the last five years movies have been setting, and breaking revenue records left and right. While it may be true that overall, the industry is down, it’s clear that the movies that are done right can still beat the system.
